Pattaya, 13 November 2010, [PDN]: On the evening of November 12, 2010, the annual “Wonderful Life, Wonderful Town, Wonderful Phang-Nga Fair” started at the Khaolak Center, Keukkuk, Takuapah, Phang-Nga Province. Mr. Thamrong Jarernkul, the Phang-Nga Governor was invited to make a speech as the president of the fair. More than 30 highly placed government officials were standing behind the governor on the stage, when the stage suddenly collapsed. Those on the stage were thrown to the ground, and some tried to run away or jumped down from the stage. The accident happened while it was raining. Luckily nobody suffered any serious injuries.
