Lovelorn Thai Woman Kills Herself On Live Video Chat

Author: Bangkok, 5 December 2010 (PDN): At 3.30pm Bangkhen Police Investigator Lieutenant Colonel Thanaphat Sukmee was notified that a woman had hung herself in a rented room in Bangkok, whilst online with the video chat program, Camfrog. Subsequently police investigators, Crime Division officers, and the Portektueng Rescue team rushed were dispatched to the scene at the SN Mansion, Phahonyothin 69, Anutsawaree, Bangkhen, Bangkok.

Hawaiian Farmers Ask for Mitigation in Thai Trafficking Case
Honolulu, the 5th of September 2010: The two brothers, Alec and Mike Sou (Laotian heritage) are the owner-operators of the second-largest vegetable farm in Hawaii, the Aloun Farms. This week the pair are expected to be sentenced in federal court over human trafficking charges, involving the shipping of 44 ‘field labourers’ from Thailand.
