Like everyone else, I bought Quixx Scratch Remover after reading the reviews on Amazon, other sites and watching the videos online.

I am the type of person who follows the directions when given something new so I tried Quixx according to the directions on a 3 inch key scratch. I have metallic paint and the scratch looked white, definitely visible, before treatment. I applied Quixx and began rubbing it in to the scratch mark. After one minute I was very disappointed, it didn’t look like anything was happening. I kept rubbing, hoping for the best, when all of a sudden the scratch began to disappear. I kept rubbing and finally it disappeared. I was amazed, I couldn’t even see where the scratch was. This happened on my passenger door.

After this, I proceeded to a near identical scratch on the same side of the car just over the wheel well. Highly visible white scratch I could feel with my fingernail, just like the previous one. I followed the exact same directions and method I had just used. I rubbed, and rubbed, and rubbed. Nothing. Only slightly less prominent than before, but it did not vanish like the other one. I simply don’t understand it.

This happened again on my hood. I had some scratches that were completely removed when I treated the hood and others that remained unaffected, even in areas where it was apparent that scratches were from the same source in the same area (tree branch or something). It’s like half of the scratches took it and the others didn’t. I did have some matted areas on my hood and Quixx fixed those spots just fine.

So, I will try Quixx again today on other parts of my car to see if I get similar results.

In spite of the inconsistent results, I am happy with the purchase. Just eliminating that one key mark on my door was worth the $14-15, not to mention the other scratches that were removed and/or lessened.
